hi. I have an error building toolchain on archlinux 64 and last crosstool-ng. Please find my build log and my config file : http://sprunge.us/LEGL |

gabx: glibc can not be build with gold. |
# 21:18:16 |
gabx |
TY |
# 21:18:22 |
gabx |
will change then |
# 21:18:43 |
y_morin |
gabx: You can use 'ld,gold' but not the other way around. |
# 21:18:52 |
gabx |
ok |
# 21:18:56 |

gabx: not enough info. ct-ng stil does not bundle gcc-linaro-4.8. Did you add it yourself? |

# 21:52:34 |

in fact, I want to use the toolchain to build android |

# 21:55:45 |
gabx |
i maybe do not need to enable JAVA |
# 21:56:03 |
Eddiie_ |
@y_morin - I am building on a little NSLU2. |
# 21:56:15 |
gabx |
as android use Oracle Java and javac to compile |
# 21:56:32 |
y_morin |
Eddiie_: You fool! :-) |
# 21:56:37 |
Eddiie_ |
hehe |
# 21:57:28 |
y_morin |
gabx: Then disable Java from your toolchain. I never use Java, so I don't know what's wrong. Also, very few people ever reported using Java, although some of them were successful. |
# 21:57:37 |
Eddiie_ |
few more days |
# 21:57:45 |
y_morin |
Eddiie_: And the toolchain is not finished yet? |
# 21:57:50 |
y_morin |
Eddiie_: Aha! :-) |
# 21:57:54 |
gabx |
ok |
# 21:58:04 |
gabx |
TY again for being here |
# 21:58:15 |
y_morin |
Eddiie_: At least, it proves that ct-ng can work on something else than x86! :-) |
# 21:58:19 |
y_morin |
gabx: Cheers! :-) |
# 21:58:43 |
y_morin |
will probably test ct-ng on his rpi sometime... |
# 21:59:04 |
y_morin |
should also grab and revive his old NSLU2, too... |
# 22:00:51 |
Eddiie_ |
actually, I had an error and had to restart.. something about xlat not usable. I added another package.. |
# 22:01:07 |
Eddiie_ |
apt-get install libexpat1-dev |
# 22:01:22 |
Eddiie_ |
expat whatever |
# 22:03:19 |
Eddiie_ |
Only use the NSLU2 if you're into watching things happen... slowly. No chance of text scrolling off the screen. Recently got a Pogoplug for pretty cheap, same arch, much faster. Suggest moving to that over the NSLU2 |
# 22:05:13 |
Eddiie_ |
BTW, I've been able to successfully crosscompile a kernel for them using your ct-ng. Weren't you accepting donations? |
# 22:06:28 |
Eddiie_ |
I can't get the devices to boot up using the new kernel though. Still boots off the old one. No idea why or where to look. Posted in a couple places for help.. waiting. waiting... waiting!!!!! |
# 22:06:30 |
y_morin |
Eddiie_: No, there's no donation possible for the project, as it is not backed by any official infrastructure. Patches are very nive donations! ;-) |
# 22:06:35 |
y_morin |
Eddiie_: However, should we meet, I'll gladly accept a beer! ;-) |
# 22:06:55 |
Eddiie_ |
I'll gladly buy |
# 22:08:13 |
Eddiie_ |
I think something is borked when programming the flash |
# 22:12:55 |
y_morin |
Eddiie_: That's been ages I haven't flashed my NSLU2, so I don't really remember how it's done. |
# 22:13:37 |
y_morin |
Eddiie_: All I know is that the kernel layout is a bit 'strange', because of the flash layout and the bootloader expectations. |
# 22:13:53 |
Eddiie_ |
the ssame thing happens to my pogoplug, so I must be missing some steps somewhere. |
