cpackham: on the other side, I have tested GCC 13.2 + binutils 2.41 + glibc 2.38 on the following architectures 32-bit ARM, 64-bit ARM and 64-bit x86. I do not see anything toolchain related. |

Did see slightly better performance on a very intense routine just short of 1% less CPU cycles needed, hence moving from GCC 12 => GCC 13 apparently generates better/faster code. |

OK thanks for checking. I'm still leaning toward doing the binutils update after the release just to avoid any last minute issues. I have had to change my mind for mpfr because updating resolves some build issues |
