2007-09-16ARM EABI is now working for little endian ARM targets.Yann E. MORIN"2-0/+466
Big endian is still missing, though...

2007-09-05Update the i686-nptl-linux-gnu sample.Yann E. MORIN"1-9/+16
2007-08-15Update all samples to the latest set of options (because so much as changed ↵Yann E. MORIN"7-726/+71
since we dropped the core C compiler and many obsolete versions).
2007-08-15Add the possibility to force the number of // jobs without reconfiguring.Yann E. MORIN"1-4/+7
2007-07-30Remove any reference to libfloat. That has gone once and for all.Yann E. MORIN"7-10/+0
Rationale: Most of the time, soft-float problems are caused by this sucker of gcc: it has support for soft float for all of the targets I've tried so far, but does not activate this code until you dwelve into half a dozen of files to make it accept to build and link the support code... So, yes: gcc has soft-float support. And again, yes: gcc is a sucker.
2007-07-28Add a new sample for LE ARM.Yann E. MORIN"2-0/+570

2007-07-22Move CREDITS to docs/Yann E. MORIN"1-0/+2
Be a bit verbose when restoring a sample.

2007-07-11Add an x86_64 sample.Yann E. MORIN"2-0/+503
2007-07-09Revamp the regtest action:Yann E. MORIN"1-27/+35
- enable one regtest per sample, - enable regtest for either local or global samples, or both, - document this in the help-build text.
2007-07-09Be a little more verbose during regtest to say that a sample did build.Yann E. MORIN"1-1/+4
2007-07-08Update the mips-unknown-linux-uclibc sample.Yann E. MORIN"1-4/+5
2007-07-08Update the i586-geode-linux-uclibc sample.Yann E. MORIN"2-35/+124
2007-07-07Make regtest work back again.Yann E. MORIN"1-6/+6
2007-07-06Update the mips-unknown-linux-uclibc sample, now it is able to build both ↵Yann E. MORIN"2-47/+136
linux and busybox.
2007-07-05Update the armeb-unknown-linux-gnu to be buildable.Yann E. MORIN"2-25/+69
Both busybox-svn and linux-2.6.21.5 are succesfully built.
2007-07-04Update the armeb-unknown-linux-uclibc sample to:Yann E. MORIN"2-6/+22
- use latest binutils, - build sstrip, - build dmalloc and gdb. Note: linux-2.6.21.5 for NSLU2 and busybox build!
2007-07-03The armeb-unknown-linux-uclibc sample now builds without libfloat.Yann E. MORIN"1-16/+46
The generated toolchain is at least able to build busybox (which wasn't the case before).
2007-07-02Silence calling the saveSample.sh script.Yann E. MORIN"1-1/+1
2007-07-01Merge the build system to trunk: ct-ng is now installable:Yann E. MORIN"1-15/+24
- ./configure --prefix=/some/place - make - make install - export PATH="${PATH}:/some/place/bin" - ct-ng <action>
2007-06-19Make the progress bar a default for all samples.Yann E. MORIN"3-3/+3
2007-06-18Always call distclean after each sample when doing a regtest.Yann E. MORIN"1-4/+4
2007-06-17Rework the help system. For now, this is mostly a no-op (it only re-organise ↵Yann E. MORIN"1-3/+7
the help entries), but later, that may come in handy when we want ct-ng to be installable).
2007-06-17The log file is no longer configurable: it is always ↵Yann E. MORIN"1-1/+0
"${CT_PREFIX_DIR}/build.log". Add an option to compress the log file upon successfull build. Make rendering the toolchain read-only optional. A few eye-candy fixes.
2007-06-17Add intermediate mesages when building regtests.Yann E. MORIN"1-3/+3
Distclean the repository after each sample during regtests.
2007-06-17Add the "regtest" make target: call "make regtest", and all samples wil be ↵Yann E. MORIN"1-7/+40
built, and a tarball made for each of them. First sample to fail causes the test to stop.
2007-05-27Merge the NPTL stuff.Yann E. MORIN"1-0/+294
That still leaves the linuxthreads stuff broken, but it was just before. I don't care anyway. Time to fix that later...
2007-05-22Update mips-unknown-linux-uclibc to the latest set of config options.Yann E. MORIN"1-2/+15
2007-05-22Mark broken samples as such: use a file named 'broken' in the sample's ↵Yann E. MORIN"2-0/+0
directory. Reflected this state when listing samples (in scripts/showSamples.sh).
2007-05-22Update the mips-unknown-linux-uclibc sample to the new set of config options.Yann E. MORIN"2-12/+19
Switch the ISA from mips32 to mips1.
2007-05-19Add uClibc-0.9.29:Yann E. MORIN"2-26/+67
- associated patch set - update the munging function to accomodate the new config variables libfloat version was missing from the previous commit... :-( Better handle the case where the sample directory already exist but isn't under revision control, and in case the destination file doesn't exist in the sample directory.
2007-05-18Reverting to uClibc-0.9.28.3, as 0.9.29 spawns incorrect bits/sysnum.h ↵Yann E. MORIN"2-68/+22
(needs a xgcc first!).
2007-05-17Make the debug config menu a generated file.Yann E. MORIN"2-27/+82
Add a uClibc-0.9.29 patch directory with one patch (from me!). Update the armeb-unknown-linux-uclibc sample to uClibc-0.9.29. Some eyecandy in the gdb build process.
2007-05-11Like tweak to the armeb-xscale-linux-uclibc sample to not renice the build.Yann E. MORIN"1-1/+1
2007-05-10Update the way we handle directories supplied by the user:Yann E. MORIN"4-16/+11
- the tarball directory is considered as a local copy, and tarballs are copied to a working area, - the sources and build directories (CT_SRC_DIR and CT_BUILD_DIR) are now computed, and no longer an option, - the build dir has been renamed from 'build' to 'targets'. That should ease preparing a tarball of the resulting target.
2007-05-08Huge fixes to glibc build, so that we can build at least (and at last):Yann E. MORIN"2-1387/+63
- use ports addon even when installing headers, - use optimisation (-O) when installing headers, to avoid unnecessary warnings (thanks Robert P. J. DAY for pointing this out!), - lowest kernel version to use is only X.Y.Z, not X.Y.Z.T, - a bit of preparations for NPTL (RSN I hope), - fix fixing the linker scripts (changing the backup file is kind of useless and stupid); Shut uClibc finish step: there really is nothing to do; Add a patch for glibc-2.3.6 weak aliases handling on some archs (ARM and ALPHA at least); Did not catch the make errors: fixed the pattern matching in scripts/functions; Introduce a new log level, ALL: - send components' build messages there, - DEBUG log level is destined only for crosstool-NG debug messages, - migrate sub-actions to use appropriate log levels; Update the armeb-unknown-linux-gnu sample: - it builds! - uses gcc-4.0.4 and glibc-2.3.6, - updated to latest config options set.
